Jobs in Mauritania again:

In Mauritania, the fact that we hire only our cousins, every time we have the role of recruiting new employees, makes some companies, and even government ministries called after some tribes names. And this kind of misuse of national property is very bad because it strengthen the role of the tribes in the society. And this is against the new elected government policy; which aims to tackle the discrimination and the slavery in Mauritania. Because we all know that if the tribes are very strong the slavery appear again, and many other bad things like, the feeling of alienation and discrimination.
That’s why I ask the new president and his team to take a swift measure in order to fight this injustice and embolden our national unity by stopping injustice and national resources destruction.
Why I said national resources destruction because today if you visit any government ministry you will see people who are hired and very well paid while they don’t know their jobs, and even sometimes never use any PC. Because the employers recruit only their cousins many well qualified young men stay jobless and that is also a national resources destruction.

Jobs in Mauritania:

In Mauritania there is no recruitment by competition, and the only way to get a job is the family intervention, so if you don’t have someone of your relative who occupies a very good place in a company or in a government, you’ll never get any job whatever your qualification (this is a general truth today).
But what makes things look dreadful is that, there are some citizens who are almost not represented at all in the government and in all the national companies, because many years ago they were prevented from going to school (for some reason very known). And the fact that they are not very well represented create a hurdle before their sons today, even if they are very well qualified they will never access any decent job, and that’s why I think positive discrimination or affirmative action should be applied in Mauritania if we really want to offer an equal chance for all the citizens.

Toward those who make money of the tragedy of these refugees

Firstly, I ask them to help the government in his current efforts. And secondly i think that as long as this government is working very hardly to resolve this problem they should avoid every thing which can undermine its efforts.
I know that they were right when they stood against this injustice seventeen years ago, and their fight was always just in my point of view, because their community was unfairly targeted and pushed away from their own country. But today the government wants to put a good end to this issue, and they should help it, because without their help and support no thing could be realised, and I thing their family and children are tired of living under tent and without any decent shelter.

We are Mauritanian and we love our country, that’s why we should unite in order to build our country.
Meanwhile a policy which makes all the citizens feel equal before the law, and have the same chance of success, is needed. Unfortunately today some races and ethnics, feel that they are discriminated against in their own country, and i think that the government should work hard in order to make such ideas vanish forever.

Mauritanian refugee in Senegal and Mali

For me, the Mauritanian government should resolve this problem very quickly and pay back those who lost their wealth during this painful tragedy. They are Mauritanian and they were mistakenly targeted during the events of 1989, as a backlash of the dispute between Senegal and Mauritania.
I think every good citizen should participate in his own side in these ongoing general efforts which aim to bring this tragedy to a good end.
As long as this issue remains without a fair end, no one can predict any good future for our beloved country. In addition, such awful injustice may trigger many bad things for our country like the intervention of foreign countries which can lead a destabilization of the country and even civilian war like what is unfolding in many other countries.
We should bear in mind that today our weak and poor country; need every citizen, and the return of these refugees will have a very good effect on our crumbling economy.
Thanks.
