Mauritania: why the former president was overthrown :

The August 6th 2008 coup in Mauritania prevented the country from falling into a disastrous civilian war, which could have jeopardised all our effort to build a strong and stable country. The former president Mr. Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdallahi unfortunately has worked hardly from his first day in office in order to undermine our national unity and our hope to build a strong and powerful country in the future. All his effort which have aimed on tackling our national issues have failed, and made them worse. That’s why our national unity was at stake at many times during the last 15 months, and at an unprecedented level. Also during that period, the toll of the crime has risen sharply and the insecurity became rampant across the country, while Mr president and all his family (wife, son and daughter) fly from one European country to another and spend nights and days in a luxury hotels.

Today, for all these mistakes cited above and others, all the Mauritanian people are behind the junta and his chief Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdel Azize supporting him and welcoming the coup.

The Mauritanian coup of August the 6th 2008 is very well welcomed:

Fifteen months of a government who looks unaccountable of all the mess and the mismanagement he is creating, made the population across the country looks very keen in order to show their support to the new authority. Every day across the country, people from different background, different region and tribe demonstrate by all the available means, their support to the new authority, and thank the junta chief and the coup’s author Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdel Azize and call him the liberator.
In the mean time more than 75% of the MP’s and the senate have expressed also in the national and international Medias their support to the coup and their author. I think that a coup who could gather such big support should be backed also by the international donors.

The 3:00 am call

During the democrat primaries, Ms Clinton made an Ad, which shows the fact that Mr Obama can’t be trusted when it comes to the real matter, which can happen during the night an specifically at 3:00 am.

The republicans who seemingly want to attract Ms. Clinton supporter, look as they have forgot that Ad or haven't understood it. Because an old man 72 years old or a woman with an ill child, represent the symbol of the weakness of the human being, and won’t be able to answer that call.

IN THE USA: Ms Sarah Palin will be McCain runmate :

The republican nominee for the 2008 presidency, Mr. John McCain has just picked Ms. Sarah Palin as a runmate. Ms. Palin is an unknown young women who is 44, mother of five, and who is serving today her second year as a ® governor of Alaska.

Ms. Palin who is considered to be reformer, her first role will be to give more energy and fresh blood to the republican campaign, but she is also known as a big opponent of abortion and fierce advocate of arm carrying, but in the other hand she supports the drilling for oil, so what would be her level of succes on her new task.

After this pick, I do suspect that, at least the republicans can no longer criticize the democratic candidate, Barack Obama for the lack of experience.

The China’s rise:

I agree with those who see the china’s lead in the 2008 Olympic game as a clear message of its dominance on the international stage. After the economic sector where the china’s success stories are astonishing, today the china is leading the USA in the total number of the gold medal, by more than 15 gold medals, I underline again fifteen gold medals in the 2008 Olympic game. China who was colonised by Japan during the Second World War, and who then was left by itself to struggle in order to feed more than a billion people in the sixties of the last century, is today considered to be the miracle of the twenty first century. The question which every one of us should have on mind is how did they make a such great jump and in a very short time? The answer is very easy and a lot of us know it already. Which’s they have worked very hard and never expected any help from anyone.

In fact, all that make me repeat again: the democracy doesn’t mean always development and well being for the people (the Africa is a good example), and it’s better to live without democracy and without aide and become one day a rich country than spend all your lifetime living on the handout.

In the end, I’d like to point out the fact that the China’s success is a good example for the people in the developing world, and for me I think it’s the only remaining option which can bring an end to the woes and the troubles they are facing.

A new government is expected and RFD will be out :

According to the Spokesman of the party, they have failed to reach any deal or agreement with the head of the state Mr Mohamed Abdel Aziz during the yesterday’s meeting.
For many persons, Mr. Ould Dadah wanted throughout this meeting, to pave for himself the road to the palace, that’s why the discussions were doomed to end like that.
Today the President is weakened further after the withdrawal of Ould Dadah’s party: the RFD from the coalition which had backed him from the day one.
But in the meantime, the relief has come from another big figure of the opposition, Mr Saleh Ould Hanene of HATEM party, who has just asserted his support to the president Mr Mohamed Ould Abdel Azize and his program.
The decision of the leader of HATEM (Mr Ould Hnana) is expected to create a new drift among the opposition rank and have further repercussions in the political field, which can in the end play in the side of Mr Ould Abdel Aziz, and allow him to start implementing the new and necessary reforms.

Our world and the climate change :

Our life on earth is facing a huge challenge, unless we reverse the current trend of the climate change, by taking the necessary steps.
According to many scientific surveys the spread of the CO2 emission on air is the main reason behind the climate warming and its disastrous effect.
That's why, i think that an international climate-policy should be adopted with the agreement of all the rich and the powerful countries, which can has as a goal :
1- Finance and support those big projects which aim to shut down cool plant.
2- Finance and support the use of electrical cars all over the world.
3- Encourage the use of clean power like the solar power and the wind power in the world.
4- Help the poor countries to get these technologies.

About 2008 American presidential election :

Two days ago Barack Obama the democratic candidate for the white house picked Joseph Biden to be his veep. Biden a foreign affair expert thanks to his 30 years and more on work in that field through the senate, seen as a right person to be Obama’s runmate, due to his experience in the international subject and also his outspoken character.
During the primary many American big commentators put the international affair and the lack of swift and harsh reactions to his opponent’s attack as the two main drawbacks of Obama.
As a matter of fact the national issues which appear to be Obama’s favourite subject could at itself make him win the race, but it’s always good to be more precautious, because the American race is very unexpected and all kind of smear attack are allowed.

Mauritanian coup of 06/08/2008

On august the 6th, 2008 a junta led by the General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz took the power in Mauritania and chased the former democratically elected president Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdallahi. Nearly three weeks after the event, the situations still unstable while the pros and the cons still rallying every day across the country, every side claim his legitimacy.
I think the Mauritanian people needs peace much more than any thing else, and we should settle down this crisis as soon as possible, even if it will requires a resort from the junta to a wide crackdown on all the hostile activities.
This current crisis hinders our development and weakens our country’s economy that’s why we should overcome it very soon and forever so we can go back to work. No one has a mandate from God which gives him the right to rule us. And the only acceptable leader is someone who is going to swear to work hard in order to put our country back in a good track, and once we found him we will back him whatever the reaction of the foreigner will be. This is our own problem and no foreigner should mingle with it
