People living in Nouakchott drink now from Aftout Es Sahili:

The authority has just succeeded an outstanding operation which aims at providing Nouakchott inhabitants with drinkable water from Aftout Es Sahili instead of Idini. In fact, for the last decade Nouakchott was in shortage of clean water and a real solution was needed. The current project is expected to solve the lack of clean water in the capital for the next century. Moreover it will help people avoid water borne diseases and its disastrous impact on children life.
Without overstating I can say that the current water is better than the previous one and the reason is that I never heard anyone until today (more than three weeks after its release in the taps) complaining genuinely about its quality.

After the month of Ramadan:

During the last month (the month of Ramadan, according to the lunar calendar) people usually spend most of their time worshiping God and making supplications.
But unfortunately as soon as this month passes away they resume slowly their old habits and forget about God and his commands as if their prayers are only accepted during the month of Ramadan.
Here, from this blog we call upon all the Muslims to carry on doing those good deeds they used to do during the holy month, and bear in mind that our Lord and beloved God is all hearing and he will keep rewarding us as long as we keep doing what he has ordained upon us and as long as we keep fellowing the steps of his Messenger Mohamed peace and blessing be upon him.
Also, we should understand that our success in this live and here after depends only on our believe in God and the teaching of his Messenger Mohamed (PBUH).

Stop now destroying Nouakchott’s beautiful main roads:

These days the authorities are undertaking a huge operation which will ultimately change in a sad way the capital’s beautiful landscape.
In fact, the unnamed operation consists of uprooting all the beautiful trees which were surrounding and garmenting the capital main roads, giving it an enviable image of a civilized town.
Moreover, this contestable move, is now going ahead without any kind of explanation from the authority, nor protestation from the people, who is standing cross handed witnessing the slaughter of their beautiful town.
With the disastrous impact of the global warming on people life all over the world that we all now now, the authorities should encourage trees planting not the other way around.
After all, and in this stage, I think that the only remaining tool of protestation against this awkward operation is the Medias wish unfortunately has a very limited impact on our leaders.
