Mauritanian Army raided Al Quaida camp in the desert and killed seven terrorists:

A week ago the Mauritanian army carried out a successful attack against Al Quaida in the Maghreb. The raid left seven terrorists dead and no casualties among the Mauritanian army.
This operation is the first response from the Mauritanian Army to the numerous terror attacks committed by this terrorist group against the army and security servicemen.
From now on the terrorists will understand that there is no save heaven for them once they dare commit a terror attack on the Mauritanian soil. And the Mauritanian blood is not cheap and they will pay a heavy price for every drop they spill.

A year under Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz rule:

A year ago Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdel Azize has been elected as a Mauritanian president.
Today after his first year in office, all the Mauritanian agree that he has delivered when it comes to tackling corruption and mismanagement. However he seems unwilling to put an end to the rampant human right abuse in the country. For instance many slavery cases were unveiled and brought to justice but the victims never got a fair trial nor allowed to leave their former master and live as a free person.

Stop the double standard’s policy in Mauritania :

In today’s world the discrimination upon colour, race or religion are no longer acceptable; and in country like Mauritania where different races are living together and forming the population of the country, the double standard’s policy should be stopped and people should have the same right and feel equal before law whatever their skin colour.

The case of Ahmed Ould Khatry is one of many other examples where the black people especially the Haratines are unjustly targeted and jailed while others in the same situation are enjoying their freedom and even sometimes awarded by a very good job.
In order to build a very strong country all the Mauritanian people whatever their background should be integrated and treated the same way.

As a prize, the winner of the 2010 Challenge Sidi Mohamed Abbass, which happened this year to be the team of the Kaedi1 High school, was granted a trip to South Africa and seats in the final of the 2010 football world cup.
This is the second time a Mauritanian youth team get the importunity to attend such an international event. The first time was four years ago when the Zemzem high school team was sent, after their victory of the Challenge, to attend the opening ceremony of the Germany 2006 world cup and the opening match.
Such an initiative which aims to motivate our youths to play football deserves a special praise and support from the highest authority in the country.
